Sultan Bahoo | My Beloved Murshid: The Man of Divine Essence standard

It was the 2001 Hajj period when the prospective pilgrims were busy preparing for their journey. The pilgrims from around the world were eagerly waiting to perform Hajj. There was one particular group of pilgrims whose leader was impatient to go to Medina. It was a strange kind of eagerness of their leader that no one knew about nor would he tell anyone about it. This honourable leader only had Medina in his thoughts. Maybe he wanted to present some special gift in the blessed court of the Holy Prophet. Perhaps, he wanted to hear about the success of his mission from the blessed court of the Holy Prophet and retire from his responsibility. Transfer of the Trust of Faqr Finally, the ...

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen – The Manifestation of Divine Essence standard

Hadiths of the Holy Prophet sall’ Allahu alayhi wa’alihi wasallam state that اَلۡمُوۡمِنُ  مِرۡآۃُ الرَّحۡمٰن Meaning:  The true believer (Mumin) is the mirror of the most Compassionate (Rehman). اَلۡمُوۡمِنُ  مِرۡآۃُ الۡمُوۡمِنۡ Meaning: The true believer is the mirror of the true believer. In the explanation of this Hadith, Sufis say that the true believer mentioned first in the Hadith denotes Allah because Mumin is one of the attributive names of Allah while the one mentioned second represents the sacred self of the Universal Divine Man, the Holy Prophet. In pre-existence when Mohammadan light (Nur-e-Mohammad) was separated from the Divine light, Allah beheld His Own reflection in it due to its absolute subtlety and pellucidity. Similarly Divine light also became a mirror of the Mohammadan ...

Sultan Bahoo | Evolution of Faqr (Sufism) | Sultan ul Ashiqeen standard

Faqr (Sufism) is a broad term. As it is the journey which starts from the ‘Alif’ (الف) of Ism-e-Allah Zaat to the ‘hay’(ہ). Rather, the journey begins from ‘hay’ and continues to infinity. Faqr is an exalted stage of inward which is incomparable to any other stage or rank. Since Faqr is unlimited therefore understanding its origin is also beyond the scope of the limited intellect of human being. It existed way before intellect and it will continue to exist even after the culmination of the Universe. This is because Faqr is in fact Allah Himself. All the perfect Fakirs have explained this reality in their teachings from times to time. As Sultan Bahoo says: “Faqr is exactly the Divine ...

Allah Almighty created this Universe and especially human beings for His recognition. This journey of recognition started at the realm of Divine Unity from the Nur of Mohammad. As Divine Nur descended in him in its pure and ultimate form. According to Qudsi Hadith, Allah created man from His Nur. Then He took promise from all the souls in the Alam e LaHoot, “Am I not your Lord?” All the souls recognized Him and replied, “Indeed, You are our Lord.” In this phase of recognition all the souls were free ...

Fasting (Sawm) is a third fundamental principle of Islam. It became obligatory during the second year of migration (hijra) on the 10th of Shaban. Sultan Bahoo | Company of Spiritual Guide – A requisite of Faqr (Sufism) standard

It is a fact that whenever a person gets sick, he seeks cure from a doctor and follows his instructions to feel better. When he desires to gain education, he benefits from a teacher and when he needs to nurture bodily needs, he turns towards the sources of sustenance for attaining food. In essence, to fulfil all human needs one always turns towards the corresponding sources. No one ever got cured from his sickness without consulting the doctor or gained education without going to the instructor. Thus, to sum up, either they are the matters of world or of hereafter, one always needs a guide to accomplish them elegantly.  If we look at the era of Prophethood it becomes evident ...
