Sultan Bahoo Religious School Of Thought

What is Sultan Bahoo religious school of thought

Sultan ul Faqr Sultan Bahoo was a Sunni Muslim. He followed Imam Abu Hanifa’s school of thought. About Sultan Bahoo’s religious school of thought it is said in Kaleed ul Tauheed Kalan:

I follow Imam Abu Hanifa. As he was a Mystic with pure inward and ever remained free of polytheism, infidelity and heresy of music. (Kaleed-ul-Tauheed Kalan)

Silsila e Faqr

Apart from Sultan Bahoo religious School of thought his spiritual school of thought or spiritual order is Sarwari Qadri. Sultan Bahoo’s religious school of thought is not much talked about in his books as is his spiritual order. In all his books he has declared himself as Sarwari Qadri.

Sultan Bahoo religious school of thought vis a vis Order of Faqr

It must be noted that Sultan Bahoo does not focus much upon his school of thought. He emphasizes upon his order of Faqr which is Sarwari Qadri. Time after time, he makes sure to mention the excellence and supremacy of Sarwari Qadri Order upon other spiritual orders. Originally, Silsila e Faqr of Sarwari Qadri order started from Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). However, he has discussed two off shoots of the Qadri way;

1. Sarwari Qadri
2. Zahidi Qadri
In addition to Sultan Bahoo religious school of thought he says about these two offshoots in many of his works. For example in Kaleed-ul-Tauheed Kalan and Ain-ul-Faqr He says:

Kaleed-ul-Tauheed Kalan

Qadri order has two off shoots; Sarwari Qadri and Zahidi Qadri.

Sarwari Qadri

(In the order of Faqr) the Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide has perfect command over contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. He blesses the seeker with the spiritual education and Divine guidance through Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Then, he grants him the status equal to his own on the very first day. The seeker thus becomes indifferent and independent of all needs. In fact, his attention focuses only on the Truth. Hence, gold and soil become equal for him.

Zahidi Qadri

On the contrary, the follower of Zahidi Qadri order has to devote at least twelve years to very hard mystic struggles. So much so that his stomach remains empty. After twelve years, he becomes eligible to be present before Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. Then he attains the status of a spiritually lost (majdhub) devotee. While the status of a Sarwari Qadri is that of a beloved devotee. (Kaleed-ul-Tauheed Kalan)

Ain-ul-Faqr

The Qadriway in (Silsila e Faqr) is dominant over time and space. Now there are two off-shoots of Qadri way, the Zahidi Qadri and Sarwari Qadri. What is the difference between the two? Sarwari Qadri is the mystic way (in the order of Faqr) that is granted to me by the Prophet. Since he took oath of allegiance from me and commanded me to guide the men of Allah with courage. After blessing me with inward persuasion, he held my hand and entrusted me to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani.
Similar to Prophet Mohammad, he blessed me and ordered to give spiritual persuasion to people. Now by his grace, every seeker whom I guided thereafter physically or spiritually, through the medium of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and Ism-e-Mohammad, was bestowed with the presence of the Mohammadan Assembly without any struggle or invocation. Then, there remained no veil between Allah and that seeker and he observed Ism-e-Allah Zaat wherever he looked. Hence, the Sarwari Qadri way (in Silsila e Faqr) is very beneficent and courageous. On the contrary, in other mystic ways, some seekers burn to death by the blaze of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Some could not bear the burden of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and retreats. While some are apostatized and cursed. (Ain-ul-Faqr)
